Patrick Teubner, a former University of Maryland, Anne Arundel Community College (MD) and German National Team player brings 35 years of lacrosse experience to Tallahassee. Teubner spent the past two seasons the Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Northeast-AA High School in Pasadena, MD. The Eagles finished the 2017 with an 11-7 record and was a participant in the region final for the first time in 10 years. Teubner was recently named the 2017 Anne Arundel County 4/3/2/1 Assistant Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
A 1989 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor of general studies degree (BGS). Teubner lettered in Lacrosse and is a member of the prestigious “M” Club for Varsity Letter winners.
Prior to finishing his education and playing career at the University of Maryland, Teubner was a 1987 NJCAA First Team All-American on Defense at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD, graduating with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. He also served as a team captain and twice earned a spot on the dean’s list.
Teubner was a key member of the 2001 European Champion German National Team that went 6-0, beating England twice and winning the European Cup in Cardiff, Wales. The losses were England’s first ever to a European team. Teubner’s International lacrosse experience continued as he served on the Board of Directors of the South African Lacrosse Project-(SALP) in 2008-2009. Teubner is credited with overseeing the first fully equipped lacrosse clinic on the African continent in Vaalwater, South Africa in 2009. “One of my most cherished and profound experiences.”
Teubner’s extensive post collegiate playing experience includes the Greene Turtle LC (Baltimore), MLC (Baltimore), Lakeshore LC (Chicago), Cuervo LC (San Diego), Malibu LC (LA) Hollywood LC (LA) and Quicksilver LC (LA), which won the 2009 California State Post Collegiate Club Championship.
Teubner has recently brought his vast lacrosse experience to the full time coaching ranks, which over the past 7years includes- Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Northeast High School, Pasadena, MD (2016/2017), Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, Glen Burnie High School, Glen Burnie, MD (2015), Head Men’sLacrosse Coach, Annapolis Area Christian School, Annapolis, MD (8 th grade team – 2013),Varsity Defensive Coordinator, Archbishop Spalding High School, Severn, MD (2011-2012). Volunteer Assistant, Immaculata University (NCAA), West Chester, PA (2011).
Teubner’s extensive camp and clinic experience also includes a role as a talent evaluator and coach for the Maryland Freestate games, Under Armour Underclass All-American game. The Addidas National High School Classic, and the Brine National All-American Lacrosse Classic.
Teubner’s strength and conditioning resume includes certifications with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, has spanned over 25 years and includes training out of the famed Gold’s Gym in Venice, CA. Clients have included celebrity actors, musicians, athletes and fitness competitors.
Teubner is a 1984 graduate of Annapolis Senior High School in Annapolis, MD, where he was a standout three sport letter winner (football, basketball, lacrosse), playing for hall for fame coaches “Big” Al Laramore and John Brady. Teubner quarterbacked the Panther football team and in his senior year was the State Finalist in Basketball, helped anchor the 1984 State championship in Lacrosse and was a First Team All-County selection on Defense.
