Bill Harkins Will Not Return as the Seminoles Head Coach Next Season

Tallahassee, Fla. – The Men’s Lacrosse Club at Florida State University announced Wednesday, May 8th that Head Coach Bill Harkins will not return as the Seminoles’ coach next season. “A decision such as this is very difficult,” said club president Jason Senter. “At this point, however, our club leadership believes that the team can be even more successful by going in a different direction. Coach Harkins has helped build the FSU Men’s Lacrosse team into a perennial national title contender in the past decade. We appreciate his long and dedicated commitment to our lacrosse program and wish him nothing but the best in the future.” The team will begin a national search for a new lacrosse coaching staff in the next few days. Harkins served head coach for the Men’s Lacrosse Club at FSU for nine years. The Seminoles finished with three SELC Championships and five appearances in MCLA National Championships. He coach numerous All-Americans and players selected for the MCLA National Tournament All-Star Team during his tenure with the program.
